Dave is a founder member of Ulverston Live Music, and is organizing the music component of Retro Rendezvous. Formed in 2002, Ulverston Live Music aimed to bring music to Ulverston that they thought wouldn’t normally come here. Gigs take place every month down at Ulverston Sports club, and a diverse mix they are, from Les Barker, While and Matthews, Vin Garbutt, Chris James, Sean Taylor, Dick Gaughan, Devil’s Interval, Fake Thackray to the Cajun Roosters, Show of Hands and Elbow Jane. There’s something for everyone.
Ulverston Live Music also puts gigs on at the Coro. Acts you might have seen there include Fairport Convention, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, The Lancashire Hotpots, Blue Tapestry and Half Man Half Biscuit. Have a look at Ulverston Live Music website for a full list of previous artists, or see their Facebook page to make suggestions and see who is coming!
